Services
How do I book an appointment?
You can book online through our website, call us directly, or visit the salon in person. We recommend booking well in advance for weekends or before holidays.
What if I need to cancel?
We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
Please note that deposits are non-refundable, as they help cover time and expenses already incurred in preparing for your appointment.
Do you offer regular grooming plans?
Yes! Many of our clients book standing appointments every 3–6 weeks. Regular grooming ensures your dog’s coat stays healthy and makes each session quicker and easier for your pet.
Can I book multiple dogs together?
Of course. We’re happy to schedule families with more than one dog, and we’ll plan timings to make it as convenient as possible.
Do you groom giant breeds?
Yes, we welcome large and giant breeds, including Newfoundland’s, St. Bernard’s, and Great Danes. These sessions require extra time and care, so please let us know when booking.
Can you groom show dogs?
Yes, our groomers are trained in breed-standard styling and can prepare show dogs with precision grooming techniques.
Grooming Basics
How often should my dog be groomed?
The frequency depends on your dog’s coat type:
- Short coats (e.g., Pug, Beagle, Boxer): every 4–6 weeks. These breeds don’t need clipping but benefit from baths and de-shedding treatments.
- Long/curly coats (e.g., Shih Tzu, Cockapoo, Poodle mixes): every 3–5 weeks. Without regular grooming, mats can quickly form.
- Double coats (e.g., Golden Retriever, Husky, German Shepherd): every 6–8 weeks, especially during shedding seasons when undercoats become thick.
What is included in a full groom?
A WOOFGLAM full groom includes:
- Luxury bath with premium dog-safe shampoo & conditioner
- Blow dry and full brush-out
- Nail trimming and paw pad tidy
- Ear cleaning, Paw and nose hydration
- Basic health check for any signs of skin problems or parasites.
- Light trimming in sanitary areas (paws, face, and hygiene zones
Do puppies need grooming?
Yes, introducing puppies to grooming early is essential to help them feel comfortable with the process. Our “Puppy’s First Groom” is a gentle, introductory session that includes a bath, blow dry, brushing, nail trim, light trimming in sanitary areas (paws, face, and hygiene zones), and plenty of positive reinforcement. These short visits allow your puppy to build confidence and develop positive associations with grooming.
When should a puppy get their first haircut?
It’s important to note that a puppy’s first full haircut should only be done after 7 months of age, once the adult coat has fully developed. Performing a full groom too early may disrupt normal coat growth and can lead to skin issues such as alopecia, irregular coat texture, and excessive hair loss.
By starting with adaptation sessions early (around 12–16 weeks) and scheduling regular visits, your puppy will grow into a confident, happy grooming client—ready for their first full haircut at the right time.
What should I prepare before my dog’s grooming appointment?
- Bring a collar and leash
- Inform the groomer about skin issues, allergies, or medications
- Arrive a few minutes early to allow the dog to settle and get registered
Health & Safety
Do you use safe grooming products?
Absolutely. We only use premium, hypoallergenic products that are specially designed for dogs. We also stock sensitive-skin formulas for breeds prone to allergies or irritation.
Can you groom older dogs?
Yes, senior dogs often need extra care. We adjust our sessions to be slower and more comfortable, and we avoid unnecessary stress. Non-slip mats, softer brushing tools, and extra rest breaks are all part of our senior-care approach.
What Happens if My Dog Comes in with Mats or Overgrown Coat?
If your dog arrives with matted or overgrown coat, additional charges may apply due to the extra time and care required:
- Dematting and coat thinning: €30 per hour. In many cases, we may need to split the grooming into two sessions—one day for dematting and coat thinning, and another day for the full grooming—to allow your dog to rest. Extended full grooming sessions are often not recommended for heavily matted dogs, as they can become stressed or uncomfortable.
Severe, impossible-to-detangle mats: An extra €20 per shaving may apply if shaving is necessary. Mats that cannot be combed out safely can cause pain and skin irritation, and dogs may react aggressively due to discomfort. Our priority is always your pet’s safety and well-being, so we carefully plan the grooming session to minimize stress and avoid injury.
What happens if my dog has fleas or ticks?
If we find fleas or ticks during a grooming session, we will inform you immediately. A flea and tick treatment fee of €20 will be added to cover the cost of specialized flea shampoo and thorough sanitization of our workspace.
For mild cases, we can proceed with a flea shampoo treatment during the session. However, in cases of severe infestations, we may ask you to reschedule after veterinary treatment to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet, as well as to protect all other pets in our salon.
What if my dog has medical conditions?
Please let us know in advance. We can adapt grooming sessions to suit dogs with arthritis, skin issues, or other medical needs. For serious concerns, we recommend checking with your vet before booking.
Practical Questions
How long does a grooming session take?
- Small breeds (e.g., Yorkie, Maltese): 1.5 Hours–2: hours
- Medium breeds (e.g., Cocker Spaniel, Cockapoo): 2.5 hours –3 hours
- Large breeds (e.g., Golden Retriever, Labradoodle): 3–4 hours
The exact time depends on coat condition, styling requirements, and your dog’s temperament.
Do I need to stay during my dog’s appointment?
In most cases, dogs are more relaxed when their owner leaves. However, if your dog is nervous or it’s their first groom, we’ll discuss what works best. You’re welcome to stay nearby, and we’ll call you as soon as your pup is ready for collection.
How much does grooming cost?
Prices vary depending on breed, size, and coat condition. For example:
- Small dog full groom: from €55
- Medium dog full groom: from €65
- Large dog full groom: from €90
Do you do add on spa treatments?

- De-shedding treatments
- Paw balm application
- Moisturising or conditioning masks
- Massage therapy
- Tooth brushing
